Sharp's new ECR helps growing businesses look to the future.

Sharp's new ER-4230 offers you all the management information and operational efficiency you need, plus the optional expandability to allow the machine to grow with your business. The ER-4230 uses an alpha numeric operator display and printer and supports six-character, assignable descriptions for Departments, Sub-departments and PLU's. At any time you may add options to expand the number of departments, reports and PLU's/sub-departments. The Inter-Register Communication system supports centralized individual or consolidation reporting and the distribution of program data. As many as 16 units may be interconnected using this option. The optional previous balance look-up allows more accurate control of customer credit. Here's the kind of flexibility that will serve you best today and in the changing times ahead-Sharp's new ER-4230.

Easy-to-read alphanumeric information.

All departments, sub-departments and PLU's may be assigned names of up to six characters which may be displayed and printed on receipts and journal tapes.

Greater flexibility to fit your specific business needs.

You can select machine configurations of 10, 20 or 30 departments. This number can be further increased to a maximum of 126 by using the optional expansion kit. Faster check-out operation and more precise item tracking may be facilitated through the addition of the PLU/sub-department option. As many as 512 items may be supported with additional reporting for the most effective use of the related information.

Reporting is one of the most important ECR functions for the store owner or manager. The ER-4230 is ideally equipped to provide reporting information in a precise and efficient manner. Including options, there are seventeen (V) types of reports available from the ER-4230.

High and low amount lock-out settings (HALO/LALO) reduce operational errors.

You can establish high and low amount limits for departments and PLU/sub-departments. When an amount outside these limits is entered, the ER-4230 locks itself to prevent further entry until the override key is activated. HALO/LALO checks may also be applied against media and certain other machine entry functions.

Five charge keys and a check key make transaction processing easier.
+/- Preset for each department.
Two tax tables which share up to 112 breaks for automatic tax calculation. A separate total for manual tax entry is also provided.
Two types of percent calculation (%1, %2) for department and merchandise sub-total.

Data Pack: ER-67LD1, ER-67RA1 and ER-42LD1

The "Data Pack" allows the ER-4230's memory contents to be saved or restored. It also facilitates the programming of additional machines when multiple units are installed and serves to protect machine information while it is being repaired.

Inter-Register Communication System (IRC)

A maximum of 16 ER-4230s may be linked together. All individual and summation reporting and slave machines programming is handled via simple key entry operations at the master.
